My first latte in five days. Finally!
The disappointment was well hidden on Monday morning when the quick shopping trip with my brother didn't end with a coffee stop. It was somehow acceptable, I was in a rush to start work. However, my disappointment was bigger on Tuesday, after I heard that the local coffee shop was still closed.*
Oh well, Emmi CAFFÈ LATTE from the shop shelf had to suffice for the day. So my excitement to, first of all, meet my cousin, and second, get a hot latte, was huge this morning. The alarm rang early - my cousin and I planned a lot of time in to catch up before I had to be back at work. At least that was possible, with the coffee shop opening up at 7am and me starting at 10am local time. Enough time for looooads of coffee and catching up.
And trust me, when I say looooads of coffee, then I mean that. Three latte's I poured inside of me within the two hours we spent together. When my dad offered me a coffee later in the afternoon I had to politely decline, I have had my daily intake.
The coffee was delicious, like everything the local bakery/restaurant offers here in my hometown. Only around since 2019, "Die Rickenbacher Dorfwirtschaft" has established itself as the newest hot spot in town. Whether you turn up for freshly baked bread and sweet treats, a coffee to have in or take away or a tasty lunch or dinner, it offers something for everyone. The staff is extremely friendly and makes you feel welcomed the moment you set foot inside. There couldn't be a nicer coffee spot here in Rickenbach.
My cousin and I had such a good time this morning, that we agreed to meet up again tomorrow, same time, same place. I am already looking forward to it.
*After a thorough investigation, the served area is closed Tuesdays, however, the bakery and takeaway coffee are available.
