It's been almost a month since I last wrote a post - and it's been almost a year since I started writing on Coffee & Stories.
A lot has happened this year, loads of things none of us would have expected and if you think, it'll change ... Well, have some more faith. Apart from changing the 0 to a 1, most things will stay the same, I believe.
Though I wasn't writing about coffee the way I wanted to, I am still happy to say I got into a deeper relationship with this brew than imagined.
I discovered oat lattes for me, I tried different tastes on the Nespresso capsules, I became my boyfriend's favourite barista (I think 😉), I never carried so much milk home for stock and, nonetheless, I still kept buying coffee from my most loved shops in the area.
There's Doppio who became our go-to when we just wanted to head out. There's 2 Love Tea & Coffee House with its tiny coffee cups and wide range of cakes. There's Story Works, where I discovered amazing granola cookies and the tasty oat latte. There's Devotion who caught my eye on my morning runs for being open so early. And there are Press and Suzette, my latest discoveries.
It was a f***king hard year, but the shops kept going, they kept us going and we kept them going. THANK YOU!
I wish you all a wonderful, happy, healthy New Year and expect to hear from me as well in 2021, where I hope to discover coffee shops all over London, as intended in the first place!
I suppose the sentence on my make-up bag should sum it all up: "My Life Runs On Coffee And Cake". And this should not change at all in 2021.
