Ready To Get Published 📖

Good morning my dear readers 😀

I wanted to share some amazing news with you, something that I have achieved through hard work and dedication. It's the first step of many, but that step is the most crucial.

No, I have not opened my own coffee shop, though the thought crossed my mind. Maybe in the future?

No, I have not discovered anything special over the last few weeks. Once I returned from Switzerland I had to sit out two weeks of quarantine and then we went straight into another national lockdown. This is the reason why it's been so quiet on my blog.

However, I took this time to invest in the last few missing pages of my story and I can proudly say that I have finished the first draft almost a week ago. I couldn't believe it when I sat there in front of my word document, the cursor indicating its waiting for me to type more when I was just there and like "It's finished". 120 A4 Word document pages, over 85'000 words in 15 chapters. The story about two people meeting in a coffee shop ...

I am so excited to keep pushing this project forward until the day I hold a hard-back edition in my own hands, and hopefully some of you too 😉

In the end, the lockdown was not so bad - it made me being creative again, which I am thankful for. I haven't been writing on a long piece for over three years and it's a good feeling to know I am still able to do so. I didn't write this story in a coffee shop as I was meant to do while creating this blog (hence "Coffee & Stories"), however, the whole coffee-shop-love inspired me for the idea.

Now that my first draft is done, it's time to edit and then I think I am ready to get published!

Have you also achieved something special during lockdown 2020? If yes, tell me, I am interested to hear what it is!

Happy Wednesday 🥳
